Al Badawi is a busy place! Even on a Wednesday night, the place was packed. Freshed goodness in every bite, everything was baked fresh on the spot! Pitas coming out was hot and fresh, maybe could be cooked a bit longer but I didn't mind. Falafel was some of the best I ever had, not too dry and still crispy and crunchy, light and airy. Probably my favorite. My friend enjoyed the lamb chops, cooked amazingly. The hummus was fresh smooth and decadent as well as the baba ghanoush. The flavors were lacking a bit in seasoning however it was still finished!

Flatbread forever! Went here on a date night and were able to sit at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. We had the Mezze Fillistini, which was a collection of dips with freshly baked pita bread. It was AMAZING! Everything was very flavorful and a delight to eat! We also had the pistachio flatbread which was totally delicious. It was a perfect companion to the dips. I can't wait to come back and try their falafel. The portions are epic. The diners next to us talked to one of the servers, and said he was going to bring his friends because he doesn't know how to eat so much food with just two people. I know I'm totally going to do the same! The ambiance and service was SPECTACULAR! Get thee to Al Badawi and enjoy!

This is one of my favourite restaurants in NYC. I have been known to order it en route home from the airport after a business trip and want to eat something delicious, fresh, healthy and good sized portions. My favourite is the mezze filistini platter, it has generous portions in a very handy packaging so keeps it fresh for a few days. The Fattat Jaj 6 layer chicken with rice dish is unbelievable. The rice is always perfectly cooked with the most delicately spiced flavour and enough chicken to rice ratio with tasty crunchy pita chips for a nice crunch. I'm also a fan of the grilled cauliflower appetiser, has a slightly sweet and buttery flavour...yum!! And treat yourself to the pistachio flatbread. Bit pricey but worth every bite. I want to say a big thank you to the manager Teresa who is so helpful and thoughtful. I had a delivery hiccup with Uber eats and Teresa kindly credited me and when I reordered recently, Teresa sent the food in an Uber for me complimentary and was very communicative with my via text to ensure the food arrived. It arrived still warm and was so delicious and fresh. Thank you Al Badawi for your delicious food; you can taste the home made flavour and love in every bite!

Amazing food and decor! Good for big groups since there are family style options! The mansaf was my favorite, the lamb was so soft and flavorful.

I would say food was very good and ambiance super cute; for the amount of food you get, very reasonable prices as well. Only area that suffers a bit is the service, pretty sure our waiter forgot about us halfway through the meal (could not find him anywhere after a certain point) and we had to repeatedly flag different servers down to get anything. Which was a bit annoying but not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the meal (or dock a star because honestly the food was good enough to make up for it). Shared the sampler dip platter, which gives you like 6 different things to sample. My favorite was definitely the red pepper dip, with the babaganoush and hummus coming in after that. I ordered the fattat jaj, which I really really enjoyed. The crunchiness of the almonds and pita chips contrasted so nicely with the creaminess of the sauce, chicken was juicy, all around very nice flavors. My friend got the kefta bi tahina, which has a very comforting, home cooked vibe but we both agreed we preferred my dish. Would come again.

I don't typically eat middle eastern food but I'll definitely be coming back here. It was so delicious and was a perfect portion. The dips were sooo good. The restaurant was crowded and it was a little hard to navigate to our table due to how close the tables were to each other. But they were able to accommodate us when we didn't have a reservation on a Friday night so I'm not complaining!

Three of us had a wonderful experience here. We had a reservation for 6pm on a Thursday and when we arrived it was pretty empty, but by the time we left it was packed! We shared the halloumi, muhammarah, fattat jaj and maklouba. None of us had tried the latter two dishes before but enjoyed the flavors! We especially liked the fattat jaj for the creaminess from the mint yogurt. The chicken in the mouklaba was so tender. The fried halloumi was warm and crispy. We took home leftovers because the portions were large. The dining area is one giant room with a living wall spanning one side. It's stunning and we lucked out getting a table right next to it. The servers were extremely friendly and the owner/manager stopped by to chat with us and ask for feedback. I recommend you visit here with a couple friends if you find yourself in Cobble Hill / Brooklyn Heights!

Absolutely love this spot. The vibe here is so homey but also so perfect for a night out with a group of friends. The employees here are excellent, the recommendations and servicing was 10/10. The food was so good - we got a lot of good with pita chips, which was new to me but i loved the added texture/crunch. Everything we had was so good. This is a restaurant I'd go to multiple times to try the other things on the menu.

Incredible restaurant!! I enjoyed everything that came my way, but the first stunning thing about this place is the space. Nestled in Brooklyn Heights but still on Atlantic, I was taken by the murals and beautiful spices + jars that lined the wall (A++ Decor). I found the service to be quite frequent, kind, and helpful; I really enjoyed how the water came in these large clay pots, never seen that before! Started with a spread of spreads, which was quite solid; the hummus and baba ganoush in particular stood out, with everything else being good/above average. I thought the pistachio flatbread was the one thing I would have skipped out on; it's a solid dish, but it basically tastes like any old white pizza with a bit of zataar, so didn't really stick out to me. I loved my falafel sandwich; I wouldn't necessarily say this menu is thin on vegetarian mains, but this was the only one that i thought was going to be worth it. Falafel is special and it's a very saucy experience, although the pita itself is just solid and a bit dry. Make sure to get some baklava at the end (ask for it), as that was better than most of what I have eaten in Asia minor in the past; what a finish! I loved that this space was BYOB as well, as we could pick out our wine ahead of time to enjoy throughout the meal. They let us stay for a while and the food was delish, so I'll definitely be coming back!
